Anniversary Elegance

Hi Everyone!

Hope your summer is going great!  I have been MIA a bit, having been on vacation to the beautiful Southwest with my son.  I am back and refreshed and ready to stamp!
Today I am sharing an elegant, though rather CAS card (at least for me) that will be for my parents anniversary.  While they are past their golden anniversary (3 cheers!), it still seemed an appropriate color choice for the card.

I cut a large oval in the card front and then backed it with a lattice die cut and framed the oval with gold cardstock.  I stamped the large butterfly from Majestic Monarchs onto vellum, embossed it with gold ep and die cut it out with its matching die.  This has to be my favorite butterfly ever.  I feel like I use it on every card.  I hope I am not boring you with it!  :)
Next, I die cut the tree branch from the Love Birds Matching Dies out of a craft metal sheet.  Tiny white flowers made with a punch adorn the foliage.  The sweet sentiment is from the Love Birds Stamp Set.

A pearl and bling flower centers are my finishing touches. As I said, this is pretty cas for me!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you!

Have a blessed week!

Lee Ann  :)

Vacation with a NEW release!

Hello Sweet friends!  Jaquie here to share with you all, WHILE I am on vacation in Williamsburg, VA!  You know you are a crafter, when you take your "stuff" along for the ride!  Haha!  Here is a little something I created with our NEW release stamp sets!  These sets are SO versatile, I LOVE how I can combine them!  I also LOVE how this card could be for a guy or a gal!  Check it out!

I used my mini paper cutter to create my lime green base and garden green, with white, layer.  I tore the bottom of my garden green layer, to allow for some things at the bottom of my card.  While on vacation, one must improvise!  Then I stamped my sentiments and arrow.  I LOVE how simple this was.  I finished my card with some green twine and lime green sequins!  I sure am stuck on the sequin thing!

Thanks for visiting with me today and don't forget to play along with this week's Friday Feature Challenge!  Until next time, have a WONDERFUL Sunday!

SWEET peek...

Hello! It's Monika here today, giving you couple of SWEET peeks of the soon-to-be (and when I say soon, I mean less then 24 hours!) released What's Up? and Birthday Word Art clear stamp sets.

First up is BIRTHDAY WORD ART clear stamp set. Birthday is THE occasion I most likely to send out a card for...

I went for an elegant look with this card. I heat embossed the greeting with white embossing powder. The butterfly is from MAJESTIC MONARCHS clear stamp set, and it was die cut with the coordinating MONARCH DIES

My second card is totally different, something fun and playful... a simple shaker card, using WHAT'S UP? clear stamp set along with the STAR DIE SET

This set is full of great words and arrows! I used 3 of the sentiments to build my greeting...

I hope you will join us tomorrow for our RELEASE BLOG HOP, full of wonderful inspirations.

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

I'm not lion...these are bright! ;)

I don't usually stamp with the bold, bright colors but I've had a bit of fun with them lately!  My first card is bright and sunny…

I can't seem to get enough of the Happy Happy stamps and dies...they are so fun!

My second card is one that I made for a sweet little guy with a special birthday.

It seems so long ago that my own girls had their first birthday...I miss those days!  Time has passed so quickly.
I used the Baby's Circus and You're A Star stamp sets, along with the Numbers dies to make my card.  The lion and stand are raised on foam dots.

Thanks for stopping and checking out what I have to share today!  Be sure to come and see the new release on Friday!

Inspired Trio

I have always really like the comforter in my bedroom- the colors, the design etc.  I have thought about designing a card inspired by my comforter for awhile and I finally actually did it.  I have 3 similar cards that I would like to share with you today.  Here is a photo (very poor quality) of the comforter:

Here are the cards based on the comforter:

I used my favorite set- Long Stem Silhouettes and the new coordinating die set for this card.

Second card:

This card uses the Precious Poppies set and I made the image sparkle by painting it with Wink of Stella.

Finally the last of the trio:

This last card uses the new Cattails die and the sentiment is from the Spring Tulips set.

Thanks for stopping in and Happy Monday!

My Cup Runneth Over

Happy Sunday!
It's Ceal here to share with you.  Korin has released this Special Blend Die set to coordinate with the clear Special Blend set and I love them. I also used the set Grunge Elements because it went well with the sentiment I choose.
We have a new release this coming friday so make sure to stop back by and check it out!

God's Plan > Circumstances of our day.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a card to share with you that I made with the gorgeous Long Stem Silhouettes stamp set and its coordinating dies.  I inked up the flowers with Distress markers and stamped on the coordinating die cut.  You can also do it the other way - stamp first and then die cut, it's your choice.  I love the soft colors the Distress markers give.

The sentiment is from Celebrate Today - love the font and the meaning behind this sentiment, don't you?  When I hear it I think of the math concept that I teach my first graders: Greater than/Less than... ha!  And, what a glorious truth that His plans for us are far above and greater than anything we can dream of...

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

Happily ever after

Hello friends! Giovana here today. We are in wedding season and I thought it would be fun to share with you a Wedding card.
This card is super simple, I started stamping the Delightfully Delicate Background on a piece of white cardstock in Versamark ink, then added white embossing powder and heat set. After that I sponged the piece with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress inks. Then I stamped the sentiment from Prim Blessings Set in Jet Archival Ink.
Die-cut a stitched label, stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, I used TN1, TN2, TN3, DR3, FS3, BT1, BT2.
Added the label to card with dimensionals. Finally, I added ribbon and pearls.

Hope you like it!
Have a great day.

Truly a Blessing

Hello, it's Bridget here to share an easy card with you today!
A watercolor background means it requires no coloring, and every attempt results in a
unique look!  Using watercolor paper gives a beautiful thick texture and
insures that any warping or buckling is kept to a minimum -
I used 300 gsm or 140 lb. here.  I then used a large
brush to cover the panel with water before brushing in strokes of Ranger
Distress Barn Door.  If the paint or distress ink doesn't move around enough,
it can be helpful to spray it with additional water until
you get that satisfactory misty, watery look!
I stamped the poppy image and sentiment from the lovely set Precious Poppies
in Versafine Black Onyx ink.  Make sure the panel is thoroughly dry
before stamping or else the ink from stamping the image may bleed out.
The finishing touches are some matching sequins and
twine and the panel is then adhered to a black card base.
My sister was just here for a visit from the U.S. and now I'm
feeling the sadness of saying good-bye.  Without having any family
living here in my adopted country of Northern Ireland, I'm even more
grateful for the dear friends God has given me.  There is more than one
to whom I can send this card with the heartfelt sentiment....
"You are truly a blessing, Friend."
Thanks for stopping by today!

Time of Sorrow.

Good morning!

Jessica here with a sympathy card to share with you this morning that I made with the lovely Long Stem Silhouettes stamp set and the new Long Stems coordinating die collection.  They are very easy to line up and stamp beautiful 'technique-y' flowers such as this one.  The sentiment is from Sympathy Innies.

I inked the flowers with a couple of shades of pink and green Distress Markers and stamped on the die cut.  Such a soft pretty flower, don't you think

As many of you know, Korin and her family are dealing with the death of her beloved Grandmother.  This card is a virtual sympathy card for our sweet Korin.  I know today will be an especially difficult one, Korin and we are praying for you.  This sentiment you included in this stamp set says it perfectly. {hugs}

Have a blessed day, friends!
Jessica

Wish You Were Here

Hello sweet friends!  This week Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is featuring the stamp set Wish You Were Here.  Since we'll soon be heading to the beach to soak up some sun for our summer vacation , I thought I'd share a sunny card with you today using the featured set.

The background was created with Gelatos, Gesso and spritzes of water on Mixed Media paper. Real sand was sprinkled on the Kraft beach, and both the positive and negative wave die cuts were used for the ocean.  Of course you can't head to the beach without your umbrella, flip flops, and lemonade!  These beach accessories were colored with Copic Markers and cut with the matching Beach Dies.  Everything was painted with a clear Wink of Stella marker for shimmer, but it's hard to see on the photo.  The sentiment was stamped on a pennant die, and Baker's twine was added to finish the card!

Wish You Were Here is the perfect stamp set for making fun beach scenes and this week you can get it for 20% off the retail price.

It's not too late to enter our Fun at the Beach Challenge for a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the Sweet 'n Sassy Store!  Check THIS post for the details!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I think the sun is finally to show its bright smile today so it might be the perfect day to soak up the sun!

Hugs,
Cathy
