I Am Loved

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here to share a card that reflects a bit of patriotic colors, summer flowers and the freedom that we have here in the United States.

"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends".  John 15:13  NKJV

Today is Memorial Day here in the United States and may we never forget the men and women who laid down their lives to defend our country and the families that they left behind....we are free because they were faithful.

This card was designed using Grunge Elements, Grunge Elements 2, I Am Loved and Prim Blessings clear stamp sets.

On a piece of white cardstock, I masked an area for the “stars” on my homemade flag and stamped the Grunge Elements 2 heart image with Versamark™ Ink and heat embossed wut white embossing powder.

After the powder cooled, I applied Ranger® Tim Holtz® Faded Denim Distress Ink and removed the mask. I re-masked the heart “star” area and stamped the strip image from Grunge Elements using Ranger® Tim Holtz® Fired Brick Distress Ink (overlapping the images in a row to create the stripes).

The background seemed a bit bright so I lightly applied Ranger® Tim Holtz® Tea Dye Distress Ink and a light layer of Gesso®.

I trimmed the panel and embossed it with a woodgrain embossing folder, added the knotted hemp twine and mounted it onto the black card base.

I stamped the sunflowers from Prim Blessings and used a water brush to watercolor the images with markers along with distress inks and finished off with a coat of Clear Wink of Stella®.

To finish off the card, I mounted the three sunflowers to the card front, added the fussy cut heat embossed image of the girl from I Am Loved with dimensional foam and the layered heat embossed sentiment from Prim Blessings.

I had fun creating this card and hope that you enjoyed it- hugs and have a blessed day!

Punny Pear!

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy friends!
It's Ceal here to share a quick CAS card with you using Punny Fruits & Veggies.
I started with a white card base cut to 11 x 4.25 and scored it at 5.5 inches.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo black and colored it in with Copic markers. Added the sentiment and you have a card in less than 10 mins.

Here is the cute set I used

New Stamps for May!

Good morning, Sweet 'n Sassy friends!

It's been a while since I have posted here. I'm sure you are surprised to see me. ;) I am always around, just working behind the scenes while the Creative Team shares their amazing projects with you. Well, today, I actually have something to share, too....and not just the new stamps, either....I stamped, too! :D

First up is this gorgeous new set illustrated by Krista Hamrick. There are so many wonderful possibilities for using this set in your card making and Bible journaling!  The best part---this is just the 1st of many sets in this series of Jesus themed stamps by Krista!

http://www.sweetnsassystamps.com/creative-worship-good-shepherd-clear-stamp-set/

I love the layout of the images in this set. Because they were created to fit in the margins of your Bible, they also work very nicely for bookmarks so I created this bookmark/tag with a large manilla tag. I stamped the Good Shepherd image first and then created a mask so I could stamp the scene behind him. I colored the whole thing in with my Copic markers (haven't used those in a while!!). I wanted to add some wording, too, so I used the fish tale banner from our Banner Dies and popped the words up with foam tape.

  **********************************************************************

Next is this wonderful script alpha. It was designed so you can stamp each letter to connect to the next to form complete script words! It is FABULOUS!  It even comes with numbers and extra doodles and icons all for only $15.95! Wow! A great find for card makers, scrapbookers and Bible journalers alike!

 **********************************************************************

This set by Rebecca Rios is SO FUN!  The "awesome" mix of lettering styles is very popular right now and no wonder! It's a fun way to get your thoughts across and this set will certainly help you do just that whether you are stamping a card for a friend, scrapbooking pics of your kiddos or journaling in God's Word.

http://www.sweetnsassystamps.com/creative-worship-awesome-thoughts-clear-stamp-set/

I decided to create a clean and simple card with this set to show you that it's not just for Bible journaling. I stamped the words and images from Awesome Thoughts with my Spectrum Kaleidacolor ink pad. The thought bubble was cut out (with scissors) and both pieces were popped up with foam tape. I stamped the little circles directly onto the kraft card base and then colored them in with my white Sharpie paint pen. Easy peasy!

 **********************************************************************

Finally we have a really amazing alpha illustrated also by Rebecca Rios that will coordinate nicely with her other stamps AND many of the stamps you already own. The letters are large so they will stand out in a crowd ;) and you'll enjoy coloring them in to add even more pop to your projects!  Did you see the amazing page Cathy made with this and some other new sets?  She shared it on the Creative Worship Blog this week. If not, you can check it out HERE. It is gorgeous!!

http://www.sweetnsassystamps.com/creative-worship-outline-alpha-clear-stamp-set/

Now this is a work in progress....I debated sharing it with you since I haven't added any color yet, but I thought, why not...it's fun to see the process of a project as it comes together.  This is sort of a silly page, but it fits my personality pretty well. I love cats and I love this verse in Philippians (my fave book of the Bible, in fact) so I decided to use my LOL Cats stamp set to illustrate the various needs I have that God supplies. I will be sure to share the finished page once the color is added. :D

In addition to Rebecca's Outline Alpha, this page also uses our new Classy Script Alpha and our Camden Market Alpha.

I hope you enjoyed today's little parade of stamps and samples. Watch for more samples from the Creative Teams throughout the coming weeks! We have lots of great stuff in the works to share with you!

Be sure to check out our website for more great stamps and don't forget about our Sweet 'n Sassy Cash Rewards Program AND our FREE shipping with your $75 US order!

Thanks for visiting today!
Have a blessed weekend!

Thoughts of You

{judy} Stamping is such therapy for all sorts of ills. It doesn't "fix" things, but it certainly allows whatever I am feeling to take its course and allows a calmness to return. Yesterday a dear friend passed away and making this sympathy card for his wife helped me with all the emotions I was feeling. Does creating something do that for you? It's a blessing and a help, I think!

This was a simple card to make. I used the Reverse Masking Technique by cutting a circle frame and then sponging on the inside with Distress Ink. I kept the frame intact and stamped my group of flowers from Long Stemmed Silhouettes, then removed the frame and stamped the sentiment so it would be part way out of the sponged circle. I added some pearl bling and a little butterfly brad for embellishments.

I hope that whatever you create today brings you joy -- and peace!

happy together

Good morning!  Today I am sharing two cards.  Here, for the first one, I used a recent silhouette set called Happy Together.  SNSS has some great silhouettes!

I punched a large circle in the white cardfront and positioned my stamp to show through.  Then the sentiment was stamped over the silhouette.  The flower was made with the Kindness dies.

My second card was created with the new set by Wynne Gettelfinger, Winnie’s Garden

This set has lots of cute images and sentiments that are perfect for your spring and summer cards!

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!
Diane

Congrats Grad!

Hello! It's Monika here today, with a graduation card.
Yes, it's that time of the year! Summer is almost here. While I don't make a lot of graduation cards, this year I had to make a special one since my son is graduating from 8th grade!
I picked his school colors, blue and gold/yellow.

The background is lightly water colored/smooshed with light blue ink. Then I just stamped the images from Congrats Grad clear stamp set randomly. To soften the look, I added a vellum panel (attached with mini staples), before attaching the graduation cap and the greeting. The cap was colored with water color.

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Scrap Box Creations

Hello friends!  Cathy here with several cards to share with you.  If you are like me, you probably have a scrap box full of designer paper scraps…why is it so hard to throw those little scraps away?  My scrap box is overflowing, so I decided to dig in and use up some of those scraps for my cards.

Paper scraps were stitched together to make the sun rays behind the farm scene.  Two of the images from Landscape Silhouettes were merged to make the scene.  Some Color Burst powders were used to make the sunny colors behind the scene.  The sentiment from the For My Father stamp set was cut with one of the Decorative Plaques Dies.

For my second card, 3/4" strips were cut from DP scraps to make the herringbone pattern on the background.  The panel was then embossed to give it a quilted look.  Sew Happy Cocoa is back in stock at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp Store and I couldn't resist using him for my Sew Thoughtful card.  The sentiment was stamped and cut with one of the Mini Tag Dies.

All of the stamp sets and dies used on these creations are currently available and ready for shipment.

Take some time to check them out along with all of the other favorites that are now back in stock.
Today is the last day to receive a free gift with your $25 purchase before shipping and discounts!

These cards serve as a reminder that God can take all of the pieces of our lives…put them together in just right way and make something beautiful!  Nothing is wasted!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Cathy

Sweet on You and Baked with Love

Happy Wednesday Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!

It's Susie here to share a card and also a tag using the
Baked for You clear stamp set.

For my card I thought it would be fun to feature some of the yummy baked goods and add the sentiment, sweet on you.  While I was all sorts of inspired, I decided to make a tag too.  I used the sugar canister and the oven mitt along with the baked with love sentiment.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to die cut all of the stamped images.

Here is a look at the stamp set so you can see what's included:

Have a fantastic day and hold tight for more great creative team projects.

For the Golfer

Happy Monday!
It's Ceal here to share a Father's day card with you. You know Father's day is next month and the way the days are flying by it will be here before you know it. Sweet 'n Sassy has some great masculine sets for you to make your father's Day card including this one Hole in One.
To make my card I started with a white base cut to 4.25 X 5.5, next I cut a green panel just a quarter inch smaller all around and ran that through an embossing folder. I stamped my image on a 3x4 panel and colored it with Copic markers and used the pointillism technique for the grass. My father in Law is a golfer so this will be the perfect card for him

Here's the set I used

Hello!

{judy} I am pretty terrible about putting things away on my craft table before I get something else out. I can't imagine that I am alone. :)

This card came about after deciding it was TIME to clean up a bit (because I couldn't find my tools!), and I used things just laying on the table. I love how it turned out with the combination of FILL ME UP and GRUNGE ELEMENTS 2. I used both black and brown shades of ink, some die cuts, and a button that had fallen on the floor. Even the embossing folder for the front panel hadn't been put away. So.... there is SOME good to be said for leaving things out.......right?

Take a peek at the two sets I used today. They are two of my favorites!

serene scene

Good morning!  We are using some of the SNSS masculine sets this week for some inspiration for Father's Day next month.  Today I used the Forest Silhouettes and Serene Silhouettes sets, along with the Bare Tree die on my card.

First I masked the hill and sponged the sun with a punched circle.  Then I sponged the sky and grass, followed by the water.  Everything was stamped with navy ink except the grass, which was stamped in green using the tips of the tree branches.  The large tree was diecut with navy cardstock.

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!

Winnie's Garden... thinking of you

Hello! It's Monika here today, with a sweet garden card. I love the new Winnie's Garden clear stamp set. With it's 20+ images, you sure to find something to your liking. I love the whimsy style of the sweet images.
I have a simple 'thinking of you' card:

The gardening can seems to be a popular image with the DT girls. LOL! It's really great for any occasions.
I stamped the images with Jet Black Archival ink, then water colored them... I stamped an extra butterfly and spade, colored them, cut them out... then adhered them to the main images with dimensional tape. The border was stamped with a swirl image from Leafy Flourish Background & More clear stamp set.

I hope I inspired you to create something today.

Thank for stopping by,
Monika

Happy Father's Day!

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here to share a quick Father’s Day card created with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps- Tender Thoughts, Shining Light and the coordinating die set, Birch Forest Dies. I just love both of these stamp sets as well as the dies!

I know what you are thinking- why Father's Day when Mother's Day is this weekend?  Well, I am hoping that most of you have already created your Mother's Day cards and would now be looking to the next holiday to honor your Father or special Fathers in your lives :-)

If so, the images and sentiments from theTenderThoughts Clear Stamp Set are not only great for Father's Day but are also perfect for so many other occasions- Birthday, Sympathy, Thinking of You, Praying for You, Christmas, and many more, plus the bonus of no fussy-cutting with the Birch Forest Dies (love saving time :-))!

The Shining Light Clear Stamp Set is just as versatile and coordinates wonderfully with the Tender Thoughts Clear Stamp Set!  The fantastic lighthouse image and so many wonderful verses of Scripture- perfect for all types of cards!!

Combine the three and you have a wonderful combination of stamps and dies to create projects that are sure to bless those in your life all year round!

To create this card: Ink the birch tree image from the Tender Thoughts Clear Stamp Set using a light gray ink, stamp onto white cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die from Birch Forest Dies.

Repeat the above steps with the deer image from the Tender Thoughts Clear Stamp Set using black ink.

Stamp the sentiment from the Shining Light Clear Stamp Set with black ink onto white cardstock, trim and mount onto black cardstock (I created the banner with a punch).

Create a few more banners from patterned paper, layer onto the dry embossed background and add a black button for interest.

Quick and easy- now I am off to create a few more for other occasions!    Hugs and have a blessed week, sweet friends!

Plant Kindness. Gather Love

Happy Wednesday Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!

It's Susie here to share another card using the set Winnie's Garden

Since we have been showcasing this set here, I thought I would use some more images to show you how versatile this set is.

I used two of the smallest images - the flower and butterfly - to create a simple and happy card.  I popped up the panel using fun foam and adhered a few sequins before adding it to the striped card base.

Here is a look at the stamp set so you can see how many great images and sentiments are included:

Have a fantastic day and hold tight for more great creative team projects.
