Sending You Love and Hugs

Hi Sweet Friends!

Julie, here and today I am sharing a fun card that I designed using SNSS Cocoa Sends Love Clear Stamp Set (designed by KorinSutherland).

The SNSS Cocoa Sends Love Clear Stamp Set has a gorgeous font and numerous sentiments along with the darling Cocoa image that in addition to Valentine’s cards, you could create cards for so many other occasions .

To create this card:

First, I inked the SNSS Cocoa Sends Love image with archival black ink, stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored it with water-based markers using a water brush.

I then fussy cut the SNSS Cocoa Sends Love image, mounted it onto a piece of black cardstock (to give it more thickness) and fussy cut around the image once more.

I die cut a heart from white and black cardstock, split the black heart and layered it behind the white heart (allowing a bit of the black die cut to show as a frame).

I also die cut a larger black oval and a smaller patterned oval using stitched oval dies, layered those together before adding the layered die cut heart and fussy cut SNSS Cocoa Sends Love image.

Once I layered the white, light pink and black cardstock, I added some white crochet trim with black satin ribbon before mounting the panel onto the bright pink card front.

I heat embossed the SNSS Cocoa Sends Love sentiments with white embossing powder onto black cardstock and mounted both sentiments along with the layered SNSS Cocoa Sends Love  focal image using dimensional foam to finish off the card.

I think Cocoa looks so cute delivering his mail- don’t you?

I had fun playing with the SNSS Cocoa Sends Love  Clear stamp set and hope I have inspired you to pull out your stamps and create something!  Hugs and have a blessed week, sweet friends!

Merry Christmas!!

Hello, Sweet 'n Sassy Friends and
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

It's Cathy here, popping in with just one more Christmas card to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
Scripture Tree is probably my favorite of all the Christmas stamp sets released this year by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  The scripture verse used on the tree perfectly expresses what Christmas is really all about.

Shimmery gold and silver embossing powders were used on both the Scripture Tree and the Music to My Ears Background to create this very CAS Christmas card.  Black paint was splattered on the background and silver and gold pearls were added to the tree.  Finally, some metallic silver and gold thread was added to finish the card.

I wish you all a most blessed day as you celebrate the birth of our Savior!
See you next year in 2017!

Hugs,
Cathy

blessings ornament

The big question this time of year is always… “Are you ready for Christmas?”. I'm getting there! We finally got our tree up and my baking and shopping is done...except for the Christmas meal. I hope your preparations are going smoothly!

I was playing around earlier this week with some salt dough ornaments using my Poinsettias & Candles stamp set and one of my collectible Christmas cookie stamps.

I mixed my dough and rolled it out on freezer paper, then cut the hearts by hand.  I used 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup salt and 1/4 cup warm water but my mixture was sticky and needed more flour. Next time I’ll add more salt or less water. Use a toothpick or straw to make a hole.

The hearts were stamped with Versafine ink and the Poinsettias & Candles stamp set.

I baked them in a toaster oven at 200 degrees and flipped them a few times (not sure how long) but my toaster oven runs hot so next time I’ll use the regular oven.  The toaster oven browned them a bit…so I sponged some Distress Vintage Photo on to “age” them.

This will be my last post before the holiday so I hope you all have a very blessed Christmas!
Diane

Give Praise

FINALLY Work is over for the holidays and I am so happy! YAY! I have had a crazy month (or two) and I am soooo tired so I decided I needed to take a fun break just to keep myself sane! Today I am playing with a new stamp set that SNSS just released. This set is called Give Praise
ogh-sns-16-053givepraise__73887-1480378789-1280-1280
I can’t wait to do a Bible journal page with this, but for today, I decided to try a shaker card idea from Jennifer Mcguire. It turned out pretty good, though I am going to need some more practice to get the shaker a little more shaker-y….
1-snss-give-praise-copy
I used some scrap paper and inked up a bunch of the stamp elements then colored them up with with my Copics. I ran the base background through my Cuttlebug with some embossing dies. Then with Circle dies, I created a frame. With Distress Ink, I dropped some color onto some watercolor paper and ran that though my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I cut out the elements for the shaker pieces and added sequins.
Now I am sitting here just shaking it for fun. Try it out - you will have so much fun!
Have a very Merry Christmas!
Lyn

Blue Christmas

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy Friends,
it's Ceal here to share with you today a Christmas card using an older but gorgeous set. I used the Winter Blessings set along with the Christmas Sentiments.

To make this card I started with a white top folding card base and stamped the Winter Blessings in versamark ink to cover most of the front, next I embossed it in white and then sponged Chipped Sapphire distress ink over the embossed snowflakes. I added the greeting at the bottom stamped in Chipped Saphire and embossed with clear embossing powder. To finish the card and clean it up (from the sponging) I added a strip of silver glitter wash tape.

monogram notecards

Good morning!

Today I am sharing some monogram note cards using the Shake it Off Lowercase Alpha, Grunge Elements, and Scribble Flowers stamp sets.  These come together pretty quickly once you decide on your design and you can easily make multiples for a set (perfect for last minute Christmas gifts)!  I ended up with 3 layouts that I liked.

The first card was inspired by this one. Then I made two more versions with the same supplies, yet different layouts.  I got a bit carried away with the flowers here...lol...so the rest of the cards I made with this layout had less.  ;)

Each one was embellished with some bling and bits of paper doilies.  The monogram letter circles are popped with foam dimensionals.

Don't forget some matching envelopes!

Thanks for popping in and… happy stamping!
Diane

Merry Christmas

Hello! It's Monika here today, with a holiday card.
One of my favorite holiday images (other than nativity scenes) is the holy from Christmas Silhouettes clear stamp set. I just love the delicate look. So I decided to use that on my card:

I love the delicate look of heat embossed image on Vellum. It gives an airy look to it...
I totally forgot that I had the coordinating die (Christmas Silhouettes Dies) so I fussy cut the image... imagine how easy it would have been if I simply die-cut it. Silly me!

The greeting was stamped with the new Rebecca Script Alpha clear stamp set. It is part of the Creative Worship line. I also used one word from the Christmas Morn clear stamp set. The two different fonts worked really nicely together.

Thank you for stopping by,
Monika

Heartwarming Alphas

Hello and Happy Friday Everyone!

It finally feels like winter here in St Louis; fall surprised us and went on and on.  I do welcome the snow, but not frigid temps.  Is it getting cold in your neck of the woods?
One of my favorite things about winter crafting is snowmen!  I just can't get enough of them.

I combined the old with the new on this CAS card.  The super sweet snowman in a cup is from the Snowman Soup Stamp Set; he is colored with Copics.  I used the snowflake images in the new Holiday Hugs Stamp Set and did 3rd generation stamping with them. I LOVE being able to create sentiments with the alpha sets and my favorite is this new one, Rebecca Script Alpha.  I pieced my sentiment together with singular words from other sets (you and my).  The heart on the cup was the perfect way to finish the sentiment!
That's it for me!
Check out all of the alpha sets at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Korin is running a special through 12/15- buy two alphas, get one FREE!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

Alpha Script Joy

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here to share a card created with the Creative Worship Rebecca Alpha Script Clear Stamp Set designed by Rebecca Rios  and Celebrate the Savior Clear Stamp Set (designed by Krista Hamrick) along with SNSS Music To My Ears Clear Stamp Set (designed by Korin Sutherland).

I had fun creating the "JOY" sentiment for this Christmas card and am looking forward to using the SNSS Alphabet sets for Scrapbooking, Card Making, Tags, Personalized Gifts, Home Décor as well as Bible Art Journaling!   Love that you can create your own sentiments- perfect customization!

Plus, this month Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps is celebrating with their  "It's All About Alpha" Sale- Buy 2 Alphabet Stamp Sets and Get One Free now thru December 15th!

I used water-based markers to watercolor the SNSS Celebrate the Savior angel, poinsettias and holly images and added shimmer with a clear glitter pen to the angel’s wings, gown and white highlights with a white extra fine paint pen to the poinsettia centers before fussy cutting the images.

I used the SNSS Music To My Ears Clear Stamp background image for the one panel as well as sporadic background around the SNSS Celebrate the Savior angel and sentiment.

I used water-based markers to watercolor the SNSS Celebrate the Savior angel, poinsettias and holly images and added shimmer with a clear glitter pen to the angel’s wings, gown and white highlights with a white extra fine paint pen to the poinsettia centers before fussy cutting the images.

I used cherry distress ink to stamp the CW Rebecca Alpha Script letters and finished off by layering all of the images and adding a cherry bow along with pearls to finish off the card
.
I hope I have inspired you with this fun Christmas card!

Thanks for taking the time to visit- hugs and we hope you have a wonderful week!

I (Heart) U!

Our all about ALPHAS sale continues, all our alphabet stamps are on sale until Dec. 15th, including 3 new ones that were just released.  I made this quick and easy card using one of the new sets called Shake It Off Caps.  I stamped the letters with black versafine ink and embossed them and then I free handed the small and large hearts. I added some stitching to the border of the card and around the hearts. The paper is from The Paper Studios.

Today it's All About Alpha's

15268015_10209855044066368_5845469195922631587_n
Hey Guys, Lyn here and today I have a CAS card using some of the fun new alphabet stamps available at the Sweet N Sassy Stamps Shop. And in case you missed it... they are actually on sale as part this weeks special - Oh yes they are!
I used some water color paper for my card base and went with a one layer card. I wanted some rich colors so I dug through my inks until I found exactly what I was looking for and for fun, I went with some mixed fonts. After stamping up the chunkier words, I went over the inks with my water brush to make it look more like water color. Then all there was to do was add the perfect final touches - a manger scene and a star. The manger was colored in using some inktense pencils and the waterbrush.
It took me a while to get it the way I want it, but now I absolutely love it. I have to be honest. I am not sure this will ever be sent as I now kind of want to cut of the front and put it in a frame. What do you think?!

Refuge

Hi Sweet 'n Sassy Friends!
It's Ceal, here to share card with you today using one of our most recent sets Faith Quote Blocks.  I needed a masculine card to send to my bestie's husband who is fighting cancer and this sentiment was perfect.
I stamped it in Early Expresso ink and then colored it in with some Copic Markers C4, Bg72 and W1. This card was quick and easy to make and will bring some encouragement to him.
