Peaceful Peonies- Peace I Leave With You

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here, sharing a card created with the Peaceful Peonies Clear Stamp Set (designed by NinaB Designs).

I absolutely love the Scripture as well as the other sentiments in this set plus the gorgeous peonies- don't you? Perfect for so many occasions!

To create this card, stamp the large peony image multiple times onto white cardstock with embossing ink, heat emboss the flowers with white embossing powder and use water-based markers with a water brush to watercolor the images.

Once the panel has thoroughly dried, trim the edges and adhere a strip of green satin ribbon (I used a scrap piece from my massive stash-lol!)  before looping metallic silver thread behind the verse sentiment.

Finish off the card by adhering to a white card base and applying shimmer to the flower petals with a clear glitter pen.

We are so thankful that you stopped by- may the Lord grant you His Peace this week!

Landscape silhouettes

Hello! It's Monika here today with a quick and easy card... a while ago I've made a card using Landscape Silhouettes clear stamp set with a sponged sun... while I was doing the sponging, I made a second base card which I set aside... so when I was cleaning my craft table the other day, I came upon the cardstock and decided to finish it. Easy-peasy!

I just sponged the green 'grass', added the greeting from Be Encouraged clear stamp set, and added a vellum border... cool, isn't it?

I didn't have any orange rhinestones, so I colored some yellow ones with an orange Sharpie... great way to customize your colored blings!

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

You are AMAZING!

Hello, Stephanie here with a card using one of the new release sets All About You and an older set called Floral Greetings.  I love both of these sets, All About you has lots of awesome sentiments and I love the flowers and sentiments in Floral Greetings.  This card came together quickly since there was no coloring involved, I stamped and embossed.   Please keep Korin and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they move to their new home this weekend.

You're so Sweet

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sheri here with a card featuring the NEWLY released Sweet as Honey stamp set.  As soon as I saw this set I knew I wanted to make a fun & bold card with it.  I wanted to use a piece of  black and white striped paper for my background and after searching through my stash and coming up empty I decided to create my own.  I cut 1/4" black strips of card stock and spaced them evenly on a piece of white card stock.  I loved the idea of being able to create my own in a pinch or when you need to match to a specific project your working on.

I thought that I would share a second card that I created earlier this month for a little added inspiration.  As you can see I had a lot of fun with this set.

Mixed Media Frame

Hello! It's Monika here today with a mixed media project. I have always loved mixed media, but usually I don't have enough time to work on complex projects... while this project started out as a quick 'mixed media' card, I decided I shouldn't rush it... so I made it step-by-step, day-by-day, letting everything air dry...

It started out with a regular 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of heavy cardstock. First I adhered some torn book pages to the cardstock, then I painted it over with white Gesso. Next I adhered some art stones, lace and dry wall tape to the background, using Gesso... it's a great adhesive...

Next came the messy part... coloring the background:

I used red mist from Maya Road and yellow mist from Michael's... I had to add yellow mica powder to the yellow to make it brighter...
While it didn't look great at first, after adding the embellishments, it all came together.

The greeting is from Be Encouraged clear stamp set, my go to stamp set these days... I love the inspirational words!
The embellishments were so much fun to put together... you can get really creative and use odd items, recycled materials... really, anything that you can put your hands on... I mostly used my Hot Glue Gun to adhere the embellishments... along with Soft Gloss Gel which is another great adhesive especially when you are looking for flexibility or applying glitter...
As I love butterflies, I added some pretty ones. The images are from Majestic Monarchs clear stamp set... while I used the now retired coordinating dies, the images are easy enough to hand cut. They are backed with black cardstock to add a nice contrast to the yellow...

Thanks for stopping by,
Monika

A Sweet Combo

Hello friends!  Cathy here with two cards to share using the new Sweet as Honey stamp set paired with Scribble Flowers...what a sweet combination!

Intimidated by watercoloring?  Try this...To create the watercolored frame, attach the swirly scribble flower upside down on an acrylic block and paint color burst on the back of the stamp.  Give it a little spritz of water and stamp onto heavy card stock.   Bristol board was used here but water color paper or mixed media paper would also work.  If you do not have Color Burst, use any water based marker like Tombows to color on the back of the stamp and give it a spritz of water.  Clean the stamp and continue to randomly stamp flowers around the panel.  It might look a little messy, but just wait until the next step!  When completely dry, turn the stamp right side up on the block and emboss the flower outline over the watercolored flowers.  Now it's lookin' good!  The little swirly flower was used to fill in the gaps and a little messy stitching was added to the frame.  Color Burst was painted on the honeycomb stamp from the Sweet as Honey set, stamped on a separate panel, and spritzed with water to lighten.  The frame was popped up onto this panel using foam tape.  The sentiments, bees and sequins were added to finish the card.

The second card was made using the same sweet combo but with a completely different look.  Distress Oxide inks were sponged onto white Neenah card stock and over stamped with the honeycomb.  The Honeycomb was also stamped on a plain white panel and spritzed with watered down oxide ink.  The panels were cut with curvy edges and stitched together to make the base for the card.  The bees and flower were colored with Copic Markers and popped onto the card.  The sentiment was stamped twice, once on the card and once on scrap card stock in a different color to add contrast.  A few sequins were added to finish the card!

The stamps used to make both cards are available at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.
Please note that while the store is open for shopping,
shipping will resume on August 4th after the big move!

I hope you've BEEn inspired!
Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful Sunday!

sweet as honey

Good morning!

Today I am sharing this card using the Sweet as Honey stamp set from this month's release.  There's something about bee stamps that is hard to resist and this set has some wonderful text to go with it!

I sponged yellow ink, then used the images with 2 of the sentiments to create a collage background and popped up one bee on the side.

Have a great day!
Diane

Just BEE Cause

Hello Sweet 'n Sassy friends!
It's Ceal, here to share with you today. I am sharing a card made with one of our new releases Sweet as Honey, you have been seeing a lot of this set and that goes to show you two things; how versatile it is and how much the DT loves it!
To make my card, I started with a top folding kraft card base and a bristol panel cut down with a stitched die. I love using bristol when I blend inks because it is so effortless. I randomly stamped the honeycomb image with Versafine sepia ink and then blended Fossilized Amber distress oxide ink over it and spritzed with water. I stamped the bee near the top of the panel and stamped another on a piece of scrap paper and cut out the wings to pop on top of the stamped one.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Gracious words...

We're almost spamming you with this stamp set the last days haha. But it's really versatile and I love the sentences that are in the set! I decided to choose one of the other scripture stamps, I think we showed them all to you by now :)

I'm not the best in stamping repeat backgrounds so I decided to give the background a bit of a 'grungy' look. I didn't add the stamp to an acrylic block but I just held it in my hand. That way I could play a bit with the edges of the stamp. After I stamped the background I faded out some yellow ink from the top to the bottom and stamped the message onto my card. I stamped the bee on a piece of scrap paper with the same brown ink as I used for the background stamp and cut it out. I adhered the bee with foam tape and added a couple of sequins to finish the card.
For this card I used the stamp set 'Sweet as Honey'.

Psalm 19:10

Amen to that verse!  I am in love with this new set called Sweet As Honey now available in the store!  I stamped the honeycomb using distress inks and then sponged with more distress ink.
I colored the bee with Copics and added some stickles to the wings for a little sparkle.  This set comes with 3 great scripture verses and a bunch of other sentiments, which makes it great for card making and even bible journaling!  Make sure you check out the other New Release HERE, some great new sets this month!  Hugs, Stephanie~

Sweet As Honey

Hello Sweet Friends!  Julie here to share a card using the brand new stamp set, Sweet as Honey (designed by Korin Sutherland).

My husband and I collect antique honey dishes and one of the requirements for our collection is that it has to have a bee on it, so when I saw this set I was immediately in love!  I think that Korin chose the perfect verses and sentiments to include in this set as well- great for cards, home d├ęcor and bible journaling!

FYI- In real life, I am somewhat afraid of bees and allergic to bee stings (long story) so I am not sure why but I do love bee images!!

I used distress inks along with acrylic paint to create the background, the bees were stamped onto white cardstock with archival black ink, fussy-cut and a clear glitter pen was applied to their wings.

Originally the verse was stamped on the background as one layer but the colors were a bit too vibrant, so I decided to re-stamp the verse onto white cardstock, die cut and cover up the mistake (now you know:-)).

I layered a bit of crochet lace and gingham ribbon from my stash to finish off the card.  I think I have enough ribbon and lace to last a lifetime- lol!!

We are thrilled that you stopped by today and I hope I have inspired you! Hugs and have a blessed week, sweet friends!

Color Pencils and Mason Jar Bouquet Flowers

Hello it's Gracie Chavez from Graciellie Design. Coloring mediums have been all I've thought about this year, from Zig markers to watercolors... But today I'm trying out Prismacolor pencils for the first time! It is a different medium, slower to begin with, but it is -oh so totally- worth it!

I decided to use Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Mason Jar Bouquet flowers to try out my Prismacolors for the first time. I didn't use any solution to blend the colors, I simple did it the classic way... Layering. Layering requires patience and if you have some form of arthritis you'll feel uncomforable at some point but if you don't press the pencil too hard, apply the color with small circular strokes you will achieve a neat transition.

The flowers turned out so delicate and pretty that I decided to create a very intricate lace card base for them using Anna Griffin's Elegant Embellishments 2 cartridge on my new Cricut Explore Air 2. This card has so many delicate layers and it makes the images look even more classic and elegant. I decided to add a sentiment from my clear stamp set Floral Greetings released by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps early this year. And I think nothing says classic like ribbon so I tied a matching pink bow around the card front and embellished it with a gold button.

If you want to take a closer look at these stamps visit SNSS shop here. There are many, many more beautiful stamp sets to choose from and even 2 more clear stamp sets I designed myself. That is all for now. I hope you give this coloring medium a try one of these days too! Until next time.

Happy 4th of July

Hello everyone, and happy 4th of July to all of our sweet American friends!  Hope you will be able to celebrate and take time to remember and be thankful for all of the sacrifices that have been made to ensure our freedoms in this wonderful country!  I think we sometimes forget how truly blessed we are!

Scribble Flowers and Grunge Elements were randomly stamped in blue, red, and light blue on the background.  Summer Fun Winnie was colored with Copic Markers and her banner fussy cut and popped up for dimension.  Half circles in red, white, and blue were added to complete the patriotic theme while enamel dots add to the festive look.

Be sure to check out the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog and our Facebook Page this Friday, July 7th... Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps will be releasing four new stamp sets.  Here is a little sneak peek using one of the fabulous stamp sets that will be included in the July Release:

Distress inks were sponged on a background panel of mixed media paper.  Water was spritzed through a rays stencil to remove some of the ink.  The Hymn Block was embossed on white and yellow card stock so portions of the hymn could be highlighted and some of the letters were colored with Copic Markers.  A sun cut with one of the Beach Dies, stitching, and enamel dots were added to finish the card.

The following products used to make these cards are currently available from the
