Hello...It's Cathy again with another project for you here at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Blog! September is the time for back to school cards and projects and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has some fabulous stamp sets and digi images just perfect for those projects. Now that many students are back into the school routine, they may be needing a little student survival.
Here is everybody's favorite teddy, Rhubarb, with a student survival kit packed with items every student needs to make it through another year! The "Back to School Rhubarb" digi was colored with copic markers, cut out, and popped onto the cello bag topper layered with Echo Park DP. The tag was made by cutting a Spellbinders label die in red, white, and blue and then pieced together. The lettering on the tag was made with a JustRite stamper and the cute little apple is a digi image called "Apple of My Eye."
On the back of the topper is an explanation of why each item is in the survival kit. The little "Back 2 School Pencil Holder" digi is also available at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store. Survival kits are a cute gift idea that can be taylor made to let a special person know that you are thinking about them. Check out Sawyers Specialties for other suggestions for survival kits or come up with your own ideas. Thanks for checking in with us today and stop back tomorrow for more inspiration from another talented designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Tutorial Tuesday
We thought we'd switch things up a bit so our Tuesday posts this month will feature various video tutorials I've done for The Sweet 'n Sassy Connection, our community and gallery.
This week I'm showing you a fun technique you can do with water-based markers, a silhouette image and a spray bottle.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Love you
Hi there!
I have a CAS card to share with you today using the adorable Seeing Spots stamp set and papers that are available in the card kit that Korin designed. I paired it together with the flower from Your Friendship stamp set, which has a card kit available with the same papers as the Seeing Spots kit. I added the 'i love you' sentiment on the leaves - love that quick little addition!
Have a great rest of your day - I hope it includes some stamping time!

Customer Spotlight Sunday
Happy Sunday everyone and thanks for taking the time to visit the Sweet 'n Sassy blog. Today in the customer spotlight we are featuring Holly McMillen aka Toy on Splitcoaststampers.
Holly created this card for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps first ever inspiration challenge on Splitcoaststampers. She used a couple of our digi stamps to create this beautiful card. The bluebird digi and also the Sing unto the Lord digi. You can check out all the digital stamps here.
I just love all the shades of blue that Holly used to create her card. Her velvet ruffled ribbon and prima flowers are such a perfect touch. She highlighted the beautifully colored bluebird by using a die. And, that same die is in the background where she used sheet music. It is a perfect complement to this scripture verse.
Great card Holly and thank you for using our digi line of stamps. We are also praying God's protection for all our friends and family who are in the path of Hurricane Irene.

Have a Beary Happy Day with an Origami Diamond Fold Card!
Happy Saturday Everyone! We here in Massachusetts are preparing for Hurricane Irene to hit us - Kent and I got all our lawn furniture put away as well as all the garden decorations that might blow away! Please be safe if you are also in the hurricane's path this weekend.
It's my turn to post once again and I have a really fun way to fold your card today - It's called an Origami Diamond Fold and you can find a tutorial on how to make it here on Wendybells blog.
Here's my card all folded up - The top flap tucks into the square under Rhubarb - I used Rhubarb's Cupcake digitial image on the front
As you open the card - I adhered the "It's Your Birthday" sentiment from Ocean Paradise on the right flap and I tied some honey dew twine around it - did you know that Korin now stocks a wonderful variety of colored twine??

Blossom and Flourish
I used the beautiful newly released Season of Change set illustrated by Dina Kowal. The sentiment in the set is lovely and I chose to focus on that rather than the images for this card. I stamped the poem with dk brown ink and sponged some soft blue ink along the edges. All of my edges were stitched and I used buttons and baker's twine for my embellishments. I thought that the dp coordinated so well since part of the poem mentions "leaves on the tree". It is from the Echo Park Walk in the Park line which I don't see in the store right now but the Country Drive pack looks like it has a similar pattern.
Glad you stopped by today, have a wonderful day!!

Thank you for stopping by to see me today and God bless you! Here is my card that I'd like to share with you. I love how this card turned out and know that you will too!

Need Some Inspiration?
Welcome to Wednesday everyone! It's Taylor here today, and hopefully I'll get your mojo started. Did you know I host an Inspiration Challenge each Tuesday over in our Member Company forums on Splitcoaststampers? This week I shared a living room that really made me swoon - the colors and textures are so fabulous. The picture inspired me to make this card using Tea Time, one of my favorite sets. I used yellow patterned paper with polka dots, continuing the theme from the couch. My other pattern has a hint of green, echoing those planters in the background. I accented the papers in black, to give it a nice contrast.
Take a look at the inspiration photo I shared:
Want to know how to play along?
Using the picture above, make a card, project, altered item, or anything else your mojo inspires you to make. It can be based on the colors, the textures, the theme...anything! I've pulled out a few colors, for those of you who love to use them as your jumping off point. I've also highlighted a few of the different textures and patterns in the picture, in case you'd rather use those as inspiration. Remember, there is no right or wrong, just be inspired and have fun! Upload your art to the gallery at SCS, and use the keyword SNSSIC02 (note: you do not have to use a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps image to play along, but to be considered for the Sweet 'n Sassy Spotlight you do). While there is NO time limit to play along in this challenge, I'll post a new one each Tuesday morning!
So, come play!! Can't wait to see what you create :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Tea Time (SNSS)
Card Stock: So Saffron, Basic Black (SU)
Patterned Paper: Social Club (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Frame It Part 3
Happy Monday everyone and thanks for taking the time to visit the Sweet 'n Sassy Blog.
It's Mary Marsh here and today is my turn to do the blog post.
I have just returned from a fabulous week on the North Carolina shore. So I am quite anxious to get back to creating.
My last 2 blog posts I have done cards that I have titled "frame it". See those posts here and here.
I love taking a sentiment stamp and use dies, embossing folders, patterned paper and ribbon to frame the card. So I decided to continue with that theme again this month.
I used the cuttlebug embossing folder "scroll works" to frame the sentiment from the new set "season of change". This set was just released this month. It even has a matching die. I love the versatility of this set.
Instead of patterned paper I chose metallic cardstock in chocolate and cream. I punched some leaves from copper metallic paper and added a few rhinestones for a little bling.
My ribbon is some that I recycled from a fall wedding shower a few years ago. I liked the coppery shimmer and the fall words printed on it. I thought it worked great with my card today.
That's my card. Hope you have a great start to this week.

Happy Lord's Day Sunday!
Today we are featuring Kim Lackenbach in the spotlight. She made an adorable Cocoa card that I am excited to share with you all.
Kim used the Cocoa's Beach Ball digi which is also available in a stamp set called, Beach Bum. Don't you love the fun and vibrant colors she used and how she created the sun?
Great card Kim!

Faux Tile Wildflowers
Good morning and happy weekend everyone! It has been such an exciting week for SNSS with the SCS company member opening, the announcement of Dina Kowal as our new stamp designer and the introduction of dies to the SNSS line of products!! What a fun time I had at our release party this week and it was equally as fun getting ready for it! I think the SNSS team needs this weekend to recover from all of the excitement!
Today I have a card using one of my favorite SNSS stamps, Wildflowers. This is becoming my go to set when I need flower silhouettes. This is also the first time I have done the faux tile technique. I got the inspiration for this card from Taylor's Inspiration challenge here on SCS. I also used last week's Sweet Stop sketch for my layout.
I hope you take some time to play in the many challenges offered by the SNSS DT this weekend!

Back to School Pencil Holder
It's that time of year where moms all over the United States are having those mixed emotions of feelings of the kids going back to school; getting them out of the house for some peace and quiet or missing them all day long. Along with this comes the tremendous guilt of feeling like a bad mom because you want the peace, savor the peace, and it gives you more uninterrupted time for the Lord, household business and of course, getting your stamp on! Or counting the hours until your little darlings get home. I'm a combination of both, as most of us are. We're all looking forward to getting back into a predictable routine.
This month for my two Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps blog posts, I decided to go back in time and showcase older digital stamps that I LOVE. Today will be a "Back to School" digi stamp using Pencil Holder (it's less than a dollar!) and on August 25, I'll be showing you my favorite food digital stamp.
And, just as a reminder to you, every day a design team member posts a totally inspirational card or project showcasing Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps at the Blog. You never know what you're going to see daily because we can use whatever stamp set we like, so it's always a surprise! Please visit us daily at the Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Blog and definitely come back to visit me on August 25 for my next post. I can guarantee you'll be cooking. Be sure to stop back by tomorrow to see who will bless you.

The Lord is my Shepherd
Howdy Sweet 'n Sassy friends!! How are you today? Did you join in on the release party festivities on Monday night? Isn't it fabulous that our wonderful company is now a Member Company on Splitcoast? So very exciting!!
Today's card showcases an image from a past release...but you just have to pull out those older stamps from time to time. It's a great way to remember what you have in your stash and remember what you loved about those images.
This card was super easy to create and I spent the bulk of my time aging the paper where I stamped the Psalm 23 image. I added various shades of Distress Ink and then spritzed the paper with water. Distress Inks react wonderfully with water and that's how you end up with the small spots. Love that! Once my aging was completed, I simply stamped the Psalm 23 iamge on top! The beautiful designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket and the butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch.
Enjoy and be sure to hop on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy web site to check out all of the new releases!

Introducing Peace of God
Many people think this cute little guy is a cardinal because of the "spike" atop his head, but he is, in fact, a titmouse. The fun thing about stamps, however, is that you can make them anything you want :). This set not only comes with this lovely bird image but also uplifting sentiments and scripture that will bring much encouragement to the recipient.
